General

  • First-time clients are required to have an initial registration meeting to discuss all appropriate matters relating to the care of their animal. Clients are responsible for keeping Tails of the City updated if there are changes in circumstances or animal behaviour.
  • Clients are required to sign that they have read and agree to the terms and conditions during the registration process.
  • Clients remain legally responsible for their pets while they are under the supervision of Tails of the City.
  • Clients must provide Tails of the City with contact details of someone who is able to make a decision during an emergency, should the primary client contact not be available.
  • Clients are requested to provide Tails of the City with a preferred veterinarian and pet insurance policy. In the event of serious injury or illness to your pet, we will immediately contact you to discuss the situation as we transport the animal to your nominated veterinary provider. Should this information not be given, or insurance is not in place, any emergency treatment required while under the care of Tails of the City will be carried out by our wonderful local veterinarian where possible, or the Dierenambulance, and charged at cost to the client.
  • For walking / home visit clients, we prefer that two sets of keys are given to Tails of the City, so that your pet can still be cared for should a set get lost or stolen, in which case Tails of the City will pay for a replacements. Should you prefer to provide only one set of keys, you will need to provide contact details for a spare key holder. For overnight in-home bookings, two sets of keys must be provided to Tails of the City.
